Balabac Island Huts Package

Please read Service Terms & Conditions below before booking/making slot reservation.

ALL NIGHTS HUT – Balabac Island Comfort Retreat: Experience the Serenity of Beachfront Huts

Ready for the perfect blend of serene island living and cozy nights? Book the Balabac Island Huts Package now and rewrite your definition of ‘beachfront getaway.’ Wake to ocean breezes, feast on fresh seafood, and spend each sunlit day discovering coral gardens and sandbars that rival any postcard view. By night, delight in the hush of starry skies—all from the comfort of your inviting hut.

Imagine waking each morning to the melody of waves lapping gently against the shore, a warm breeze ruffling the curtains of your private beachfront hut. That’s exactly what awaits you in our Balabac Island Huts Package, a tranquil escape that seamlessly fuses the call of the wild with the comforts you crave. If lying in a cozy bed while still hearing the ocean’s lullaby is your dream scenario, this offer should top your travel list.

No stiff hotels, no noisy crowds—just a modest yet restful hut perched mere steps from the water. With this package, the emphasis is on relaxed simplicity, pairing basic creature comforts (bed, linens, a fan) with the immersive backdrop of pristine Balabac beaches. Each hut, crafted from local materials, honors the unspoiled natural environment while giving you a discreet sanctuary to call your own. You’ll bask in the hush of endless skies and turquoise seas, stepping straight onto powdery sand from your doorway.

Days here brim with adventure. Begin by boarding a boat right from your hut’s shoreline, venturing out to explore nearby sandbars, reefs teeming with marine life, and quaint fishing communities. After hours snorkeling among colorful fish or wandering across secluded shores, you’ll return to fresh, savory meals waiting back at your hut. Evenings transition to star-sprinkled nights—an exclusive show the remote Balabac skies put on just for you.

The prime pros: heightened comfort compared to camping, more privacy, and the convenience of a “home base” near the ocean. No need to pitch tents or endure uncertain weather without shelter. However, keep in mind that while there’s electricity—via solar panels or a generator—it may be rationed, so your phone or camera-charging windows could be limited. Additionally, the huts still lean rustic; expect simplicity rather than a typical resort. If you’re seeking Wi-Fi everywhere and constant air conditioning, this may not be a match—but if you value solitude, nature, and down-to-earth amenities, you’ll be in paradise.

This is the go-to package for couples, small families, or solo explorers who want a bit more comfort while remaining intimately connected to nature. Honeymooners especially love waking to the gentle hush of waves rather than alarms, and families appreciate the greater sense of security that a locked door and sturdy walls provide. Free from the distractions of modern city life, you’ll tune in to the island’s rhythms, rediscovering the pleasures of slow living.

Overview of Our Service Terms & Conditions

Before boarding the pickup van to Buliluyan, the boat to the islands of Balabac, or making any payments to reserve/book tours, products, or services, please ensure you have thoroughly read and understood our Terms of Service and this site’s Terms of Use. By boarding the van or boat, or making a payment to reserve/book, you confirm that you have read, fully understood, and agreed to our terms and conditions.

For your convenience, we have provided a concise and summarized version of our Terms of Service (Overview of Our Service Terms & Conditions). While this shorter version offers a quick overview, it does not replace the Full Version of Our Terms of Service posted below. You are still required to read the complete version to fully understand your rights, responsibilities, and our policies. We strongly recommend reviewing the full text at your earliest convenience.

If any provisions are mentioned in the full version but not explicitly included in this summarized version, those provisions are automatically considered an integral part of this shorter version. In the event of conflicting provisions between the summarized and full versions, please consult DPalawan Travel and Tours, or its owner, for clarification. We reserve the exclusive right to interpret the provisions of both the summarized and full versions of our Terms of Service, including resolving any contradictions that may arise.

1. Introduction

By booking or participating in any tour, service, or package offered by D’Palawan Travel and Tours (“the Company”), you (“the customer”) acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions. The Company coordinates nature-based adventures in Palawan, particularly Balabac, and partners with various local service providers. These areas can be remote, with limited infrastructure and unpredictable conditions, so careful reading of these Terms is essential before booking.

2. Core Philosophy of Responsible and Authentic Travel

The Company’s guiding principle is responsible, authentic tourism that respects local communities, preserves natural habitats, and sustains cultural traditions. We emphasize minimizing waste, respecting customs, supporting community economies, and advocating ecological preservation practices. Participation implies a shared commitment to these values, ensuring both a transformative experience for travelers and positive contributions to the region.

3. Scope of Services

Our primary focus is organizing tours in and around Palawan, with Balabac as a highlight. We provide island-hopping, snorkeling, camping, cultural visits, and coordination for accommodations. Partner Service Providers may handle specific components like transportation or lodging. We may modify services based on weather, local restrictions, or safety. Because these regions are remote, modern conveniences may be limited, so early communication of special requests is advised.

4. Focus on Adventure Over Luxury

Our tours emphasize real, nature-centric experiences rather than upscale comforts. Accommodations and schedules often adapt to weather and local conditions, requiring flexibility. This can mean unforeseen itinerary changes, basic lodging, or temporary disruptions. Rather than inconveniences, these moments are opportunities to embrace the natural rhythms of Palawan and discover hidden gems.

5. Basic Accommodations & Facilities

Expect simple huts, tents, or modest rooms prioritizing immersion in the environment over luxury. Facilities usually feature bucket-flush toilets, limited electricity (often via generator), and minimal comforts. Freshwater conservation is vital, and Wi-Fi or robust connectivity may be unavailable. You may stay on the mainland (with slightly better amenities) or close to island attractions, but please align expectations with these realities.

Lodging focuses on proximity to nature, utilizing basic materials such as nipa roofs and bed foams. Air-conditioning or Wi-Fi may be absent, and open-air ventilation is common. This approach fosters deeper appreciation for the local environment and community lifestyle.

Modern plumbing is scarce, so bucket-flush toilets and pail-and-bucket showers are standard. Hot water is generally unavailable, and freshwater is conserved diligently. Expect possible waits during peak usage times.

Generators power most island locations only a few hours each evening. Guests should bring power banks and charge devices during available windows. Practice mindful consumption to reduce ecological strain on these fragile locations.

Choosing mainland lodgings entails longer commutes to main attractions; choosing island lodgings offers immediate access but basic conditions. Either way, the focus is on authentic engagement with nature and community.

6. Meals & Market Availability

Meals generally feature local staples: rice, fish or seafood, meat, vegetables, and fresh fruit if available. Market supplies are limited, with ingredients sourced from remote locations like Brooke’s Point. Variability in availability may require last-minute adjustments or simpler meal options.

Most Balabac packages include basic meals—rice, seafood or fish, meat, vegetables, fruits (when possible), and mineral water. These reflect the region’s food culture and limited market offerings.

Supply disruptions are common due to the distance of the main market. Seasonal changes further affect meal components. We aim for balanced offerings but adapt as needed.

Provide at least one week’s notice if you have specific dietary requirements. We will try to accommodate requests (vegan, vegetarian, allergies), but you may need to bring additional items from Puerto Princesa.

Because local shops are sparse, you might bring your own snacks or drinks from Puerto Princesa. Please minimize packaging waste and observe responsible disposal methods.

7. Embracing the Natural Environment

Palawan’s weather can shift quickly, resulting in itinerary changes for safety. Expect insects, wildlife, and limited digital connectivity. Bring insect repellent, protective gear, and be ready for a largely offline experience.

Tropical climates can abruptly alter plans. Local guides and boat captains make real-time decisions to ensure safety when storms or rough seas arise. Flexibility is key.

Areas near beaches, mangroves, and forests host mosquitoes, sand fleas, ants, and larger animals. Use repellent, wear protective clothing, and avoid feeding wildlife.

Wi-Fi, mobile data, and phone signals may be absent. This encourages deeper engagement with the surroundings and local culture, offering a break from digital routines.

8. Transportation Details

Van transfers between Puerto Princesa and Buliluyan may be arranged through Partner Service Providers, with possible road delays. Boat rides are integral but governed by weather and sea conditions. Travelers should prepare for potential motion sickness and use waterproof bags.

Van services only pick up within Puerto Princesa’s town proper. External factors like traffic or poor roads can cause schedule changes, and communication along rural routes may be limited.

Island-hopping relies on local captains who may cancel or modify departures for safety. Secure valuables in waterproof containers, and be prepared for unpredictable waves.

9. Financial Details

Balabac lacks ATMs. Bring sufficient cash in smaller bills. Payment options include cash or electronic transfers (with related fees). Full payment is required before departure. No payment means no tour, and non-payment can result in legal remedies.

Withdraw enough money in Puerto Princesa for personal needs and tips. Vendors often cannot make change for large bills.

Cash is preferred; electronic methods are available for initial bookings, but the balance is settled in cash. Transaction fees are the customer’s responsibility.

All logistics demand upfront payment for local suppliers. Full payment must be settled before leaving Puerto Princesa’s business district.

On-the-spot upgrades (e.g., from tent to hut) are treated as new transactions. The prior payment is forfeited, and the upgraded service requires full payment.

Any add-ons require immediate full payment; no tabs or deferred settlements are permitted.

Failure to pay can lead to legal action, blacklisting, and notification of embassies, airports, or immigration authorities. This policy protects local providers and prevents fraudulent activities.

We have standardized rates for regular Balabac packages. Customized or last-minute requests may incur higher costs due to local availability and additional coordination efforts.

Plan your budget carefully to cover tips, personal expenses, and unforeseen costs. Showing readiness supports local communities reliant on daily tourism income.

10. Cancellation & Change Policy

Cancellations or major changes within seven days are non-refundable. Funds allocated to suppliers cannot be recouped once disbursed. No refunds for partial use or early departure. Book at least three days ahead to allow smoother coordination.

All payments are non-refundable if you cancel or significantly alter your booking less than seven days before the tour.

Once supplier payments are sent, refunds are not possible, even for partially consumed services or mid-trip changes.

Transaction-related fees are non-refundable under all circumstances, including any service-related refunds.

Post-booking alterations, such as adjusting lodging or the number of guests, entail new costs. Thorough planning helps avoid unexpected expenses.

We require a three-day advance booking to align with limited connectivity in Balabac. Rush bookings are non-refundable and prone to logistical lapses.

11. Communication & Documentation

All official communications, including confirmations, requests, or modifications, must be documented in writing via email or recognized messaging platforms. Verbal agreements are not binding unless confirmed in writing. This reduces misunderstandings and creates verifiable records, especially in areas with poor connectivity.

12. Personal Responsibility & Liability Limits

Our maximum liability, if found at fault by a competent authority, is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific tour or service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Travelers assume responsibility for following safety rules, securing personal belongings, and acquiring relevant insurance. Partner Service Providers operate independently; their errors or mishaps fall outside our direct control, though we strive to assist with resolutions.

Follow instructions from staff and Partner Service Providers, use gear responsibly, and safeguard personal items. Acquire appropriate insurance coverage.

Partner Service Providers are independent; mechanical failures or scheduling conflicts are their responsibility, though we mediate if needed.

Remote travel involves inherent risks, including limited medical facilities. Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Weather, community restrictions, and other variables can force itinerary changes. We prioritize safety and appreciate flexibility. Adjustments can lead to unique and rewarding spontaneous experiences, forming some of the trip’s most memorable moments.

14. Acceptance of Terms & Conditions

Regardless of your payment status, booking or using any Company services confirms your understanding and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions, as well as additional policies (Disclaimer, Disclosure, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy). Do not book if you are uncomfortable with limited signals, basic facilities, or nature-dependent schedules. Payment indicates consent to these realities.

15. Feedback, Satisfaction & Cooperation

If you encounter service issues (cleanliness, meal quality, etc.), submit documented feedback (email, messaging apps) with photos or videos if possible. We use this data to investigate and improve.

If problems arise mid-tour (e.g., boat breakdowns, guide misunderstandings), document them promptly in writing. Delays in connectivity can impede real-time resolutions, and complaints received after the trip may not be resolved immediately.

Balabac tours often involve diverse travelers with varying comfort levels. Cooperation and open communication enhance group harmony. Disruptive or scandalous behavior can lead to tour termination at our sole discretion.

16. Scope of Service & No Guarantees

Nature is unpredictable; wildlife encounters and ideal weather cannot be assured. Completed services are deemed consumed, even if they did not match personal expectations. In rare cases of severe disruption, we attempt to reschedule or substitute activities but typically do not issue refunds for weather or force majeure.

We endeavor to maximize sightings of marine life and schedule activities in favorable conditions but cannot guarantee their presence or perfect weather.

No refunds for used services or partially visited destinations. Revenue supports local communities reliant on day-to-day tourism income.

In exceptional cases where the main activity is canceled for safety, we will try to provide an alternative of similar value. Weather-related disruptions typically do not qualify for refunds.

17. Final Acknowledgment & Preparedness

The Company’s small-scale focus on Balabac and Palawan means limited staff and communication. Read online feedback for personal insights, but each trip is unique and subject to environmental changes. Prepare with essentials like bug spray, medications, sunscreen, sun hats, comfortable footwear, and waterproof bags. Embrace flexibility, respect local culture, and understand that these Terms aim to protect both travelers and communities.

18. Dispute Resolution Clause

Disagreements shall first be handled through amicable negotiation. If unresolved, mediation or arbitration follows. Philippine law governs any legal actions, which must be filed in the Philippines. By accepting these Terms, you agree to this exclusive jurisdiction.

Thank you for choosing D’Palawan Travel and Tours. By adhering to these guidelines, you support a model of tourism that values local communities and natural preservation. We look forward to providing a truly memorable Palawan experience.

For your convenience, we’ve created a concise, summarized version of our Terms of Service (Overview of Our Service terms & Conditions), which you can find above. You are still required to read this complete version to ensure you fully understand your rights, responsibilities, and our policies. We recommend reviewing the full text when you have the time.

Welcome to D’Palawan Travel and Tours (“the Company”). We are pleased to have you consider our services for your journey in Palawan, particularly in the remote Balabac region. They explain the expectations, responsibilities, and guidelines for all customers who book tours or related services through us. Throughout these Terms & Conditions, references to “customers” include all individuals who have purchased, reserved, or otherwise participated in any of our offerings or those of our Partner Service Providers. We recommend a thorough review of these policies to better understand the nature of the services provided, the unique characteristics of Balabac, and the responsibilities of both the Company and the customer. Thank you for choosing D’Palawan Travel and Tours. We look forward to guiding you through an unforgettable Palawan adventure.

1. Introduction

Welcome to the official Terms of Service for D’Palawan Travel and Tours (hereafter referred to as the “Company”). By reading, reserving, booking, and/or ultimately participating (irrespective of payment status) in any tour, service, or package offered by the Company, you (“the customer”) agree to be bound by the specific policies, guidelines, disclaimers, and conditions outlined herein. These Terms of Service have been meticulously prepared to provide you with clear expectations of the unique nature of our tours and the responsibilities that come with them.

The Company specializes in facilitating travel experiences in and around Palawan, with a particular focus on Balabac, San Vicente (Port Barton), Puerto Princesa, Coron, El Nido, and other “Last Frontier” destinations. Our dedicated team’s aim is to help you immerse yourself in nature’s splendor while respecting local cultures, communities, and environments. Because we believe in genuine and responsible tourism, we emphasize the rawness of these locations, where modern comforts might be scarce, yet nature’s authenticity remains profoundly vibrant.

Throughout this document, you will notice references to various realities of traveling in Palawan, including rustic accommodations, limited infrastructure, and unpredictable weather patterns. These factors are integral to the raw appeal of the region. While these tours aim for an unforgettable adventure, they differ from standard vacation packages that prioritize luxury and convenience. We encourage you to carefully consider the information provided, remain open to impromptu changes or challenges, and fully embrace the realities of remote destinations.

“Partner Service Providers” is an umbrella term we use to describe our network of partner travel agencies, operators, hotels, resorts, and other travel-related service providers who may assist in delivering certain aspects of your tour—such as accommodations, transportation, meals, or other local arrangements. We collaborate with these partners to ensure you experience the best that Palawan has to offer. However, their activities are not entirely under our direct control, and there may be circumstances beyond our authority, which we will address in more detail in subsequent sections.

If you have any questions or uncertainties regarding these Terms, we strongly urge you to contact us before finalizing your booking. Your payment to reserve any package constitutes an acknowledgment that you have reviewed, understood, and accepted these Terms. We sincerely appreciate the time you take to read this document thoroughly, as it forms the foundation of a safe, respectful, and enriching travel encounter for all parties involved.

2. Core Philosophy of Responsible and Authentic Travel

Our core philosophy at D’Palawan Travel and Tours is built upon responsible and authentic travel in the pristine areas of Palawan. The cornerstone of this philosophy is an unwavering respect for local communities, natural habitats, and the unique cultural tapestry that makes each destination so compelling. We believe in forging a travel experience where our customers are not mere spectators but active participants who engage meaningfully with their surroundings.

A significant emphasis is placed on environmental stewardship. Because Palawan is often referred to as the “Last Frontier” of the Philippines, it possesses biodiversity and cultural elements that have remained largely untouched by urbanization or mass tourism. It is our responsibility—and by extension, yours—to preserve this heritage by minimizing waste, respecting local customs, and championing practices that safeguard fragile ecosystems. This includes proper waste disposal, advocating for sustainable fishing methods, and ensuring minimal disturbance to both marine and terrestrial wildlife.

Furthermore, we foster cultural sensitivity by encouraging customers to learn and observe local customs, traditions, and community norms. Our tours are designed in collaboration with local residents, so we can illuminate aspects of daily life that you might not encounter in more conventional travel settings. From tasting local cuisines sourced directly from community farms or fishermen to purchasing handmade crafts, your participation in these activities actively contributes to local economies. This holistic approach to tourism ensures that the financial benefits of your trip are distributed among the people who work diligently to keep Palawan’s spirit alive.

By upholding these principles, we aim to cultivate not just a vacation, but a transformative journey that will alter how you perceive travel itself. In embracing nature’s rawness and the warmth of local cultures, you become part of a unique travel narrative that upholds mutual respect—both for communities and the environment. When you join one of our expeditions, you enter into a partnership with us, united by our shared belief in responsible and authentic exploration.

3. Scope of Services

The Company provides various travel packages and tours, with Balabac and related Palawan attractions as our main focus. The Balabac tours may span island-hopping, snorkeling excursions, camping, cultural visits, transportation coordination, and assistance with accommodations in huts, tents, or simple rooms. While we handle the overall coordination of your journey, specific services such as boat transfers, van shuttles, lodging, and meal provisions may be facilitated through our Partner Service Providers. These providers are selected based on reliability, local knowledge, and their alignment with our core philosophy.

We reserve the right to adjust the scope of services as needed to maintain safety and ensure a high quality of experience. Operational factors beyond our control—such as sudden changes in the weather or community-based restrictions—may require alterations to scheduled activities. Our commitment is to keep customers informed promptly and offer alternatives whenever possible. In extreme circumstances, we may elect to cancel a service for your well-being, in which case we will communicate details of any rescheduling or alternative arrangement.

Moreover, the scope of services may differ significantly from what customers might expect from typical urban or resort-based tours. We specifically cater to individuals seeking raw, nature-based experiences in regions with minimal infrastructure. Therefore, we encourage thorough research and personal preparation. Should you have any special requests—ranging from dietary needs to accessibility concerns—please inform us ahead of time in writing so we can assess feasibility and plan accommodations in line with local constraints.

4. Focus on Adventure Over Luxury

One of the defining aspects of our tours is the prioritization of adventure over luxury. Unlike typical high-end resorts, our programs spotlight the essence of Palawan’s natural environments and cultural heritage, even when that means forgoing certain modern conveniences. This approach not only offers a more authentic perspective but also ensures that the social and environmental footprint of tourism remains modest.

Customers can anticipate staying in structures built with locally sourced materials, such as simple huts, tents pitched near pristine beaches, and rooms that embody the local community’s ingenuity. These accommodations are intentionally basic; think bed foams, nipa-leaf roofing, and limited electricity. The focus is on immersing yourself in the surroundings—listening to the lull of the ocean, gazing up at coconut trees swaying in the breeze, and interacting with community members in a genuine, unfiltered manner.

Flexibility is also central to these adventures. Weather shifts, local festivals, or even the unpredictability of tides can necessitate changes in your daily schedule. Island-hopping might be rescheduled if the winds are too strong, or you may have to walk an extra mile when visiting a fishing community because the tide is too low for a boat to dock. Rather than viewing these disruptions as inconveniences, we encourage you to see them as an invitation to observe and embrace Palawan’s organic rhythms.

In many instances, unexpected schedule changes lead to serendipitous discoveries—hidden lagoons, rare wildlife sightings, or spontaneous cultural exchanges that you would never encounter on a rigid, purely luxury-focused tour. We believe that this adventure-centric approach fosters personal growth, deepens cultural understanding, and preserves the authenticity of the places we visit. Although the experience might challenge your comfort zone, especially if you are accustomed to plush amenities or precise timetables, it is precisely this unpredictability that turns an ordinary vacation into an extraordinary expedition. By choosing our Balabac tours, you acknowledge that adaptability, a spirit of exploration, and an appreciation for nature’s raw beauty are integral to making the most of your journey.

5. Basic Accommodations & Facilities

Accommodations in Palawan prioritize simplicity and immersion in nature over luxury, with options like basic beach huts, tents, and modest rooms that foster a deeper connection to the environment and local traditions. Facilities are intentionally minimal, featuring bucket-flush toilets, pail-and-bucket showers, and limited electricity powered by generators during evening hours. Freshwater conservation is essential, and visitors are encouraged to embrace these conditions as part of supporting sustainable practices. While amenities may be basic and connectivity limited, the experience offers a unique chance to disconnect, enjoy raw natural beauty, and explore the rich culture of Palawan’s communities, whether staying close to attractions on the islands or commuting from the mainland.

5.1 Simplicity of Lodging

Most of the lodging options we offer—whether huts, tents, or simple rooms—are deliberately designed to prioritize proximity to nature rather than luxury. For instance, beach huts might have only basic bed foams, open-air ventilation, and no air-conditioning. Tents, similarly, provide minimal shelter but let you fall asleep to the natural soundtrack of lapping waves and nocturnal wildlife. Meanwhile, rooms located in mainland Palawan areas may have marginally better amenities but can be hours away from many of the archipelago’s main attractions, thereby extending daily travel times and associated costs.

The simplicity of these facilities is part of a larger ethos that values immersion and environmental harmony. Surrounded by the sounds of the forest and the ocean, you gain a unique perspective on how local communities live day-to-day. You might find hermit crabs near your tent at sunrise or observe birds of paradise during their morning rituals. While you may initially miss air-conditioning or Wi-Fi, the gains in raw, natural experiences are immeasurable. We ask that you keep your expectations aligned with these realities, as this will enhance your appreciation of Palawan’s untouched charm.

5.2 Toilet and Shower Conditions

Because Palawan’s remote areas often lack modern plumbing infrastructures, toilets and showers are commonly rudimentary. In most accommodations, you might find there are no traditional showers; instead, facilities often use a pail-and-bucket system or a simple hose. Many facilities use bucket-flush toilets, and showers may consist of a simple hose or barrel of fresh water in an open or semi-private space. Hot water is usually not available, and fresh water must be used judiciously. You might occasionally wait in line for your turn to rinse off saltwater after a day of swimming, snorkeling, or exploring. Conservation of freshwater is paramount given the lack of municipal pipelines on most of the islands. By being mindful of water usage, you help these communities sustain their limited reserves and maintain ecologically sound practices.

5.3 Electricity Limitations

In remote areas, electricity generally comes from generators that run for only a few hours daily—often during the early evening. While limited electricity might seem challenging at first, it also creates the opportunity for a “digital detox.” We highly recommend bringing portable power banks or extra batteries for essential devices, such as flashlights and cameras, as charging availability can be minimal and often occurs only during specific time frames. Switching off lights, unplugging chargers, and using electricity sparingly all contribute to reducing the ecological impact on these vulnerable, remote islands.

5.4 Overall Experience

Adjusting to these basic facilities can be a humbling yet enriching experience. Some customers opt to stay on the mainland with slightly improved amenities but must then endure longer commute times to the primary attractions. Conversely, staying in huts or tents on the islands grants you immediate access to beaches, mangrove forests, and other natural wonders. Whichever you choose, approach it as a chance to experience life from a different vantage point—one that is more closely connected to nature and community traditions.

6. Meals & Market Availability

Tourists/customers agree to immerse themselves in the local culture by enjoying traditional local cuisine. Given the remoteness of the islands in Balabac, they understand that cooking supplies and necessities may be limited. As a result, meal options might be simple and rely on locally sourced ingredients, offering an authentic taste of the region’s lifestyle and culinary traditions.

6.1 Meal Inclusions

Your package typically includes straightforward meals consisting of rice, a seafood or fish dish, a meat dish (pork or chicken), a vegetable dish, fresh fruits when available, and mineral water. These meals spotlight the local cuisine, leveraging ingredients that are generally procured from community-based markets or fishermen. While it may lack the variety found in city dining, these meals mirror the genuine diet of residents in Palawan’s more isolated locales.

6.2 Market Supply Constraints

The main market that services certain parts of Balabac is located approximately three hours away in Brooke’s Point. Because of such distance and the complexities of scheduling, certain ingredients may be available on some days and absent on others. Seasonal variability also influences daily fare. For example, some fruits may only be in season for a few weeks, so availability fluctuates substantially. While we do everything in our power to ensure a balanced meal, disruptions in supply chains can lead to last-minute menu adaptations.

6.3 Dietary Preferences and Restrictions

If you have dietary restrictions—be they medical, ethical, or preference-based—please alert us at least one week before your departure date. While we will do our best to accommodate specific needs like vegetarian or vegan meals or address allergies, we are sometimes limited by what the local markets have in stock. In certain instances, we may advise you to bring supplementary snacks, meal replacements, or specialty items from Puerto Princesa, ensuring you can maintain your dietary regimen without relying on local stock, which could be scarce.

6.4 Self-Provisioning

Because market access in these remote areas is not always guaranteed, you might find it convenient to stock up on snacks or personal beverage preferences before leaving Puerto Princesa. We urge you, however, to be conscious of space limitations and the local community’s waste disposal challenges. Minimizing excess packaging and ensuring that you leave no trash behind is a practical way to support local environmental initiatives and model responsible tourism.

7. Embracing the Natural Environment

Palawan’s tropical weather can change rapidly, with activities potentially rescheduled for safety based on local experts’ advice. Expect insects and wildlife like mosquitoes, sand fleas, and monitor lizards, so bring bug spray and follow guidance to avoid disturbances. Digital connectivity is limited in Balabac, offering a chance to unplug, though planning is necessary if staying connected is essential.

7.1 Weather and Environmental Conditions

Palawan’s tropical climate can be both magnificent and unpredictable. Sudden downpours, strong winds, or intense heat waves can appear without warning, affecting boat travel, trekking plans, and daily schedules. Given these uncertainties, any part of the planned itinerary—whether island-hopping or community interactions—may be canceled or postponed for your safety. Our local boat captains and guides, who are intimately familiar with local weather and tidal conditions, will make on-the-spot decisions to safeguard your well-being. We kindly request patience and flexibility when such situations occur, as compliance with local advice ensures a safer and richer journey.

7.2 Insects and Wildlife

Tropical environments inherently host a variety of insects such as sand fleas, mosquitoes, and ants, particularly near beaches or within mangrove areas. We strongly suggest bringing effective insect repellent and wearing protective clothing, especially during dawn and dusk. Moreover, you may come across species like monitor lizards, sea turtles, or even snakes during your adventures. Keep a respectful distance and refrain from feeding or provoking animals.

7.3 Minimal to No Digital Connectivity

One of the most significant characteristics of remote Palawan is its almost complete absence of Wi-Fi, mobile data, and telephone signals. Although this might seem inconvenient in a digitally interconnected world, consider it an opportunity to disconnect from electronics and fully engage with your surroundings. Many customers find that limited connectivity fosters deeper interpersonal connections, encourages introspection, and frees them from the need to remain constantly updated. It is not just a reprieve from technology, but also a chance to observe how local communities live with minimal reliance on the virtual realm.

8. Transportation Details

Van transfers between Puerto Princesa and Buliluyan are typically arranged, sometimes through partners, with possible delays due to road conditions. Pickup is usually within Puerto Princesa’s town proper, so those staying outside may need to arrange additional transport. For boat rides, safety depends on sea conditions, and travelers should prepare for seasickness, protect valuables with waterproof bags, and wear durable footwear.

8.1 Van Transfers

For many of our Balabac packages, we arrange van transfers between Puerto Princesa and Buliluyan, which serve as gateways to Balabac. While these transfers are often included in your package, they are operated by Partner Service Providers rather than the Company itself. We select these providers based on trust and reliability, but external factors such as traffic, poor road conditions, or vehicle maintenance issues can occasionally result in delays. Communication along rural routes can be sporadic, making it difficult to alert you in real time about changes. We appreciate your understanding when these hiccups occur, recognizing that such challenges are part of traveling in less-developed areas.

It is crucial to note that van transfers generally only operate for pick-ups and drop-offs within the town proper or central business district (CBD) of Puerto Princesa. If your accommodation is located outside this designated zone, you may need to arrange your own transport to the pick-up point. If you are unsure whether your lodging location is covered, please contact us beforehand so we can advise you on suitable accommodation options within the transfer service area.

8.2 Boat Rides

Boat travel is integral to experiencing Balabac, given that it consists of multiple islands separated by varying depths of straits. Ocean conditions can transform swiftly, with winds and tides sometimes dangerous for navigation. Our local boat captains have the final say regarding a journey’s feasibility, prioritizing passenger safety above all else. Cancellations or delays might be announced unexpectedly due to weather changes or equipment issues. We ask that you trust their expert judgment and exercise patience if these disruptions arise.

If you have a history of motion sickness or are especially sensitive to sea travel, it is prudent to bring anti-nausea medications or alternative remedies. Further, securing your valuables in waterproof bags or cases is advisable, as splash hazards are common. Sturdy, quick-drying footwear such as aqua shoes or reliable sandals can help ensure safe boarding and disembarking. By following these precautions, you can reduce discomfort and be better prepared for the remote possibilities of island navigation.

9. Financial Details

Balabac has no ATMs, so bring enough cash with smaller bills for expenses. Payments can be made via cash or electronic methods, with transfer fees covered by the customer. Full payment is required before departure to ensure smooth operations. Mid-trip upgrades or changes are treated as new transactions and should be finalized in advance. Non-payment may result in legal action to protect fairness. Pricing is standardized but may increase for custom or last-minute changes. Carry sufficient cash for tips and local purchases to support the community.

9.1 Absence of Local ATMs

The remote islands of Balabac do not contain bank branches or ATM machines, and even on mainland points like Buliluyan, financial services remain extremely limited. Therefore, you must withdraw and carry adequate cash in Puerto Princesa to cover personal expenditures or unforeseen circumstances—this includes meals outside your package, the purchase of souvenirs, and any tips you may wish to offer. Carrying smaller denominations and coins is advisable because local vendors often lack change for large bills. Please do not expect ATMs to be available on remote, small private islands.

9.2 Acceptable Payment Methods

We require cash payments; however, the Company may accept electronic payments, such as bank transfers or PayPal, for bookings or reservations only. The remaining balance must be paid in cash. Any related transaction fees, currency conversion charges, or withdrawal (to convert funds into cash for supplier payments) fees are the customer’s responsibility. Your reservation is considered provisionally confirmed upon receipt of the cash down payment. Full confirmation is granted only upon receiving the remaining balance in cash. For electronic payments, your reservation is provisionally confirmed once the payment is successfully posted to our bank account. Please note that the payment receipt date is determined by the time funds are officially reflected in our account, subject to our regular office hours, which end at 5 PM. Transfers posted after 5 PM will be recorded and processed as payments made on the next working day.

9.3 Strictly No Full Payment, No Tour

The Company operates with a strict “No Full Payment, No Tour” policy. All logistical arrangements in Balabac demand immediate, upfront payment to local boat operators, accommodation owners, and market suppliers. Consequently, full payment must be settled before leaving the central business district of Puerto Princesa City, which is designated as the central pick-up location. This measure aims to avoid last-minute coordination issues, ensuring that you enjoy a smoother experience. We strongly advise planning any electronic transfers ahead of time to account for holidays, weekends, and potential delays in processing.

9.4 Upgrades and New Charges

Accommodations or other service upgrades—such as transitioning from a basic tent to a nipa hut—are generally treated as entirely new transactions when made on the spot or within the 7-day no-refund policy. Any previous payment for the original service is forfeited, and the full amount for the upgraded service is required. Similarly, if you wish to add extra activities or bring additional guests, these modifications may be subject to new charges. Because of local communication constraints, changes often cannot be made seamlessly on the spot. Therefore, the best approach is to finalize your preferences well in advance, providing ample time for coordination with local suppliers.

9.5 Full Upfront Cash Payment for the Extras

Any upgrades, rentals, or optional add-ons must be paid in full before use—no running tabs or deferred payments. Unlike high-end hotels that allow extras to be added to your room bill for payment upon checkout, immediate payment is required. Because of the region’s limited connectivity, verifying partial payments on the spot is often not possible. Having the required amount in cash ensures a seamless experience for both travelers and local suppliers.

9.6 Collections and Non-Payment Consequences

We enforce a strict “No Full Payment, No Tour” policy. In rare cases where special considerations are extended, and the traveler fails to settle the full payment or makes no payment, the Company reserves the right to pursue appropriate remedies. These may include reporting the incident to the traveler’s embassy or consulate, sharing their information (e.g., name, citizenship, date of birth, and booking details) with partner agencies and tour operators to prevent future bookings, involving a collections agency, or initiating legal action to recover the unpaid balance, with legal fees borne by the traveler. Unresolved payments may result in consequences such as difficulty accessing tourism-related services or blacklisting from affiliated providers. The Company may also notify relevant authorities, such as immigration, seaport, and airport officials, and seek their cooperation in recovering the outstanding balance, subject to applicable laws.

By proceeding with the tour, making a partial payment, or participating without payment, the traveler fully acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions. This includes the Company’s right to pursue appropriate remedies and share relevant information when necessary. These terms apply to all services provided, including tour packages, upgrades, additional inclusions, meals, and charges for property damages. Participation in the tour signifies full acceptance of these conditions, which are designed to prevent fraudulent activities and safeguard the Company’s interests. All stated remedies will be implemented in accordance with and whenever permitted by the laws of the Philippines.

9.7 Pricing

Our pricing adheres to standard rates for regular Balabac packages, ensuring consistency, fairness, and transparency across all bookings. These rates are carefully established based on industry benchmarks, operational costs, and market standards to provide the best value for our customers. By following a standardized pricing approach, we maintain trust and reliability, ensuring that travelers can plan their trips with confidence, knowing there are no hidden charges or arbitrary price changes. However, for modified or customized Balabac packages—or modifications to pre-arranged packages—rates are determined based on the availability of suppliers or operators and may incur additional costs depending on logistics, supply and demand, season, and other influencing factors. Modifications made on the spot or within a limited timeframe (less than 3 days) may incur higher rates due to time constraints and the additional effort required to accommodate requests or changes.

9.8 Financial Preparedness

Financial readiness significantly impacts your trip’s efficiency and the level of support that local communities and Partner Service Providers can offer. Ensuring you have enough cash for tipping, buying snacks, or covering unexpected personal costs helps avoid disputes or discomfort. It also shows respect toward local communities who rely on daily tourism income. We strongly encourage you to plan your budget with contingencies and carry appropriate currency denominations to facilitate smoother transactions with market vendors, fishermen, or boat crews who may not have the facility to offer change for large bills.

10. Cancellation & Change Policy

Cancellations or major changes within one week of the trip are non-refundable due to prior commitments. No refunds are given for unused services or early departures as funds are already allocated. Mid-trip changes incur extra costs, so planning ahead is advised. Bookings must be finalized at least three days in advance to ensure smooth coordination; rushed bookings are non-refundable and may face logistical challenges.

10.1 Forfeiture Within One Week

If you cancel or alter—be it a minor change or a major one—your plans within one week (7 calendar days) of your designated tour date, all prior payments become non-refundable. Our operational model in Balabac and the broader Palawan region relies on advance bookings, especially for boat charters, lodging, and meal preparations. With minimal communication infrastructures, last-minute cancellations can cause significant financial and logistical disruptions that cannot be recovered.

10.2 No Refunds for Operational Costs

Once funds have been allocated to Partner Service Providers—boat captains, accommodation hosts, or market suppliers—we cannot retrieve these amounts. As such, we cannot provide refunds for these partial or fully consumed costs, even if you decide to discontinue or modify your trip midway. We emphasize that this policy is a reflection of the local financial ecosystem, where daily cash flows are imperative for sustaining community livelihoods. To ensure a seamless experience for you, we begin sending payments to our partner suppliers up to 7 days in advance. This guarantees that your accommodations are reserved—whether on mainland Palawan or the islands of Balabac—and that boat and van operators are secured for your travel needs.

10.3 No Refunds on Electronic Payment Fees/Charges

While we require cash payments, we also accept electronic payments for the convenience of our customers. However, all fees associated with electronic transactions (e.g., fund transfers, credit card charges, money remittance, PayPal, etc.) must be covered by the customer, including withdrawal fees to convert the payment into cash for local suppliers who accept only cash. These fees remain non-refundable under all circumstances, even when a refund is issued by the Company due to its failure to render services or other service-related issues. While we strive to ensure customer satisfaction, these charges are outside our control and cannot be reimbursed under any condition.

10.4 Additional Costs for Changes

Post-booking alterations (e.g., increasing the number of guests, switching to different lodging, or adjusting the scheduled islands to visit) generally incur additional fees. Because we prepay suppliers to secure these services in areas with limited connectivity, last-minute modifications are essentially treated as newly requested services. Planning thoroughly and communicating any requests well before the trip is the most reliable way to avoid unplanned expenses and maintain a seamless experience.

10.5 Three-Day Booking Requirement

We require that customers book a minimum of three days in advance of the tour commencement to allow sufficient time to coordinate with local operators and manage the complexities of Balabac’s communication. Any payments made within the seven-day period prior to the tour start are strictly non-refundable, reflecting our seven-day no-refund rule. If, in certain exceptional situations, we accept a rush booking (less than three days), be aware that logistical errors or oversights may occur due to the time constraint. We cannot be held liable for these issues, as communication challenges in Balabac often mean we only learn of errors after the tour has begun. Once the tour starts, all services are regarded as consumed.

11. Communication & Documentation

All official communications—including Balabac tour confirmations, special requests, dietary preferences, and modifications—must be documented in writing, preferably via email or common messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Messenger, or Viber. Special requests should be communicated at least three days in advance, as connectivity in Balabac can be a challenge. Written records help minimize misunderstandings and serve as verifiable proof of agreed arrangements. For example, if you inform us verbally about dietary preferences such as vegetarian meals or specific lodging requirements, ensure this is also sent to our official email or messaging account. Verbal discussions, while useful for clarifications, are not binding unless confirmed in writing.

This policy is especially important in Palawan, where intermittent connectivity and the involvement of multiple local stakeholders make clear and documented communication essential. In case of disputes or disagreements, these written records provide a reliable basis for reference and resolution.

12. Personal Responsibility & Liability Limits

In the event that, by final judgment of a competent government authority, we are found liable for any damages arising from our product offerings and services, or those of our partner travel agencies, operators, and service providers, our maximum liability shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the tourist or customer for the tour, package, or service in question. Under no circumstances shall we be held liable for any other damages and losses incurred by the tourist or customer, whether such losses are implied, consequential, incidental, or otherwise.

12.1 Customer Accountability

As a customer, you are responsible for following guidelines and instructions from our team or Partner Service Providers. This includes adhering to safety directives given by boat captains, refraining from exploring restricted areas without a guide, and responsibly handling snorkeling or other activity-specific gear. You also bear responsibility for your personal belongings—while we take all reasonable measures to ensure a secure environment, theft or loss can occur unexpectedly in remote locales. We urge you to carry sufficient insurance coverage or take necessary precautions for valuable items.

12.2 Third-Party Involvement

Because we collaborate with Partner Service Providers for essential services like transportation and lodging, certain risks lie beyond our direct oversight. Mechanical failures, vehicle accidents, scheduling conflicts, or any other operational mishaps that result from a Partner Service Provider’s independent actions cannot be attributed to the Company. We pledge to mediate on your behalf and help resolve issues, but liability for damages or losses associated with third-party errors and shortcomings typically remains with the third party.

12.3 Risk Acknowledgment and Insurance

By participating in our Balabac tours, you recognize the inherent risks of traveling in remote tropical settings that may lack robust emergency medical facilities or immediate rescue services. Any land or sea activity—snorkeling, trekking, island-hopping—entails possible hazards, particularly when weather conditions rapidly deteriorate. We recommend procuring comprehensive travel insurance that covers health emergencies, accidents, lost or damaged luggage, and trip cancellations due to extreme weather or other unforeseen circumstances. If an injury or emergency occurs, local clinics or basic health stations might be your only immediate resource, and advanced medical facilities are hours away in Puerto Princesa City.

13. Delays & Unexpected Changes

External factors such as abrupt weather shifts, storms, or even local fishing bans can derail aspects of your itinerary. Although we take pride in meticulously planning each trip, Palawan’s natural environment remains dynamic. When circumstances mandate changes—like skipping a planned island visit—your safety supersedes all else. Our guides and captains use real-time observations to decide on modifying routes, schedules, or even entire day plans. We deeply appreciate your cooperation and flexibility.

Embracing spontaneity is frequently rewarded by memorable, off-the-beaten-path encounters. You might have the opportunity to spend extended time exploring an alternative, less-known lagoon or destination, or visit a fishing community that is celebrating a traditional festival. Alternatively, depending on the decisions made by the boat captain and guide, you might return to a previous attraction or spend extra time exploring the next destination. These impromptu experiences often become some of the most treasured memories of your journey, reinforcing the notion that in nature-centric travel, unpredictability is not a flaw but an integral feature.

14. Acceptance of Terms & Conditions

Whether your payment status is partially paid, fully paid, or unpaid, by booking or reserving a tour with us, participating in any tour or package, or utilizing any of our services, you acknowledge and accept all the terms and conditions detailed in these Terms of Service. This agreement signifies your understanding that the use of our services is bound by these terms, which are designed to ensure a smooth, safe, and fair experience for all parties involved. Additionally, this acceptance extends to any supplementary terms or policies established by our Partner Service Providers or other relevant third parties, whose services may form part of your overall experience. These additional terms are equally binding and integral to the services we provide, ensuring compliance and clarity in all aspects of your journey. If any clause seems ambiguous or conflicting, please seek clarification before proceeding with any payment. By submitting a deposit, paying the full tour fee, participating in our tours, or utilizing our services, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions. This includes your understanding of the potential challenges and responsibilities associated with remote travel.

Similarly, regardless of your payment status (partially paid, fully paid, or unpaid), by booking or reserving a tour with us, participating in any tour or package, or utilizing any of our services, you acknowledge and accept all the provisions outlined in this website’s Terms of Use, including the accompanying Disclaimer, Disclosure, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy.

It is crucial to remember that Palawan’s environment may not align with the typical “conveniences” offered by fully developed tourist destinations. We urge you not to finalize your reservation if you are uncomfortable with limited communication signals, basic accommodations, or an itinerary deeply influenced by nature’s unpredictability. Your payment signifies your readiness to embrace these realities, showing an understanding that a significant portion of the adventure lies in adapting to the environment and coexisting harmoniously with local communities.

15. Feedback, Satisfaction & Cooperation

15.1 Constructive Feedback

Your feedback is incredibly important to us, as it helps identify areas where we can improve our services. If you encounter issues such as inadequate lodging cleanliness, subpar meal quality, or significant logistical challenges, we encourage you to share your observations in writing via email, Messenger, Viber, or WhatsApp. To help us address your concerns effectively, please consider including supporting documentation such as photos or videos. This documentation allows us to systematically address each concern, engage with the relevant Partner Service Providers, and incorporate feasible improvements that benefit future customers.

15.2 Respectful Complaints

If you encounter issues during your Balabac tour—such as a malfunctioning boat engine, delays in meal service, or misunderstandings with a local guide—we encourage you to document your concerns promptly. Submitting a written complaint as outlined above allows us to begin an investigation and, where possible, address the problem during your trip. While verbal feedback is appreciated, it may be overlooked amid daily operations, especially given the challenges of limited connectivity and logistical constraints. Therefore, official written correspondence remains the most reliable way to ensure your complaint receives timely attention. However, please be aware that due to connectivity issues, we may receive your complaint after the tour concludes, in which case resolving the matter during the trip may no longer be possible.

Additionally, any resolution we communicate to the concerned personnel on the ground may be received after the tour has concluded due to communication challenges. As a result, the resolution may be delayed or may no longer be applicable by the time it is implemented. Given these uncontrollable circumstances, you acknowledge and agree not to hold us liable for issues that cannot be resolved promptly due to such delays.

15.3 Group Dynamics

Our excursions often attract diverse individuals with varied travel backgrounds, from first-time campers to seasoned backpackers. Differences in tolerance for inconveniences like insect bites or schedule changes can sometimes create friction. We believe in fostering a supportive environment where each group member’s experience is respected, and we encourage open communication, mutual respect, and a willingness to adapt. A group that works harmoniously can amplify the positive aspects of each day’s adventures and prevent small challenges from escalating into major group tensions. Negative or uncooperative behavior can compromise the overall experience for everyone involved, including local community members who help facilitate your trip. Additionally, at our sole judgment and discretion, we reserve the right to terminate the participation of unruly tourists, those engaging in scandalous behavior, or individuals whose attitudes negatively impact the schedule or itinerary.

16. Scope of Service & No Guarantees

Wildlife sightings and perfect weather can’t be guaranteed, as nature is unpredictable. Completed services, even if not fully satisfying, are considered consumed and non-refundable. For major cancellations due to dangerous conditions, efforts will be made to reschedule or substitute activities, but refunds for weather-related disruptions are typically not provided.

16.1 Unpredictable Wildlife and Weather

Travel in Palawan’s remote areas inherently entails potential encounters with flora and fauna. While we schedule activities like snorkeling or island exploration to maximize sightings of these creatures, the presence or absence of particular marine life, resources, and species cannot be guaranteed. Additionally, optimal weather conditions are never fully within our control—sunny skies can give way to sudden rain, or wave conditions might shift swiftly, making certain activities unfeasible or unsafe. Although we endeavor to provide you with the best possible weather windows, natural variability remains a central feature of your itinerary.

16.2 Completed Services

No refunds or partial reimbursements will be provided for services already rendered, even if the experience did not fully meet your personal preferences or certain destinations were not visited due to unavoidable circumstances, acts of nature, or other unforeseen events. Whether your dissatisfaction arises from the simplicity of accommodations or the specific dishes served, once a day’s tour or an activity is concluded, it is considered fully consumed. This approach ensures that revenue flows fairly to local communities, staff, and Partner Service Providers, supporting livelihoods that depend heavily on tourism. We encourage you to read reviews and online feedback before engaging with us to set appropriate expectations and ensure our services align with your preferences.

16.3 Partial Refunds and Rescheduling

In extraordinary instances where a primary activity is canceled entirely due to safety concerns—such as dangerously high waves making a boat excursion unsafe—we will make every reasonable effort to provide an alternative experience of comparable value, based on our judgment and sole discretion. This may involve extending your time in a particular beach area, redirecting the group to a different island, or organizing a different culturally immersive activity. However, if circumstances allow no feasible alternative, discussions regarding partial compensation or rescheduling may be entertained at our sole discretion. Weather-related cancellations or force majeure events do not typically warrant any refunds, as such disruptions are beyond our control and intrinsic to the nature of outdoor adventure travel.

17. Final Acknowledgment & Preparedness

As a small-scale, regionally focused travel agency, D’Palawan Travel and Tours prides itself on in-depth knowledge of Balabac and surrounding regions. Nevertheless, limitations in staff availability, resources, and real-time communication can arise, particularly during peak travel seasons or emergencies. We kindly request that you maintain patience, practice open communication, and manage expectations realistically, so we can collaboratively create the best possible travel experience.

Before securing your booking, we suggest reviewing online feedback or blog entries from previous visitors. Keep in mind, though, that each person’s experience varies. One traveler’s chance encounter with a rare marine species does not guarantee you will see the same creature. Similarly, favorable conditions described in an online review might be subject to seasonal or weather-related changes. Our own blog and social media channels strive for accuracy, but local conditions shift faster than updates can sometimes be posted.

We also encourage you to arrive well-prepared. Essentials such as insect repellent, your personal medications, sunscreen, sun hats, and comfortable footwear can make the difference between an enjoyable adventure and an uncomfortable one. Medical facilities in remote areas can be sparse, so items like bandages, antiseptic creams, and personal prescription medications are crucial. Lightweight clothing appropriate for warm and humid climates, along with a reusable water bottle and sealable plastic or dry bags for waterproofing your valuables, will further enhance your readiness.

Your journey to Palawan demands a flexible mindset, cultural respect, and a willingness to exist momentarily outside your comfort zone. Embracing these principles enriches the mutual exchange between visitors and hosts, enabling local communities to thrive while you cultivate memories of an unspoiled paradise few have the privilege to witness. We appreciate the time you have spent acquainting yourself with these comprehensive Terms of Service and eagerly anticipate the opportunity to host you in Palawan’s natural wonders.

18. Dispute Resolution Clause

Any disputes, claims, or controversies stemming from or tied to the services provided by the Company—be they related to financial arrangements, cancellations, or misunderstandings—shall initially be addressed via amicable negotiations between the involved parties. Both you and the Company commit to a sincere effort at informal resolution before pursuing more formal processes. Should these negotiations prove fruitless, the matter will proceed to mediation or arbitration as designated by the Company, with the associated fees divided equally unless different terms are mutually decided.

If mediation or arbitration fails to conclude the dispute, all resulting legal actions will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Philippine courts. Philippine law shall govern the interpretation, enforcement, and resolution of all matters within this agreement. You hereby agree that any suits or proceedings will be filed and heard in the appropriate courts of the Philippines, waiving all objections to that venue as inconvenient or otherwise improper. This clause is vital to ensuring clarity and transparency in how potential disagreements are resolved. By consenting to these Terms of Service, you acknowledge both the primacy of Philippine law and the role of local jurisdiction in adjudicating conflicts that may arise from your contractual relationship with the Company.

Thank you for investing the time to read and understand our Terms of Service in such detail. At D’Palawan Travel and Tours, we are devoted to providing immersive, culturally rich experiences while actively preserving the natural environments of Palawan. Our approach to tourism is as much about benefiting local communities and ecosystems as it is about creating unforgettable memories for our customers. By choosing us, you become part of a conscientious traveling community that respects and supports the unique resources of this exceptional region.

We encourage you to retain a copy of these Terms for your reference and to reach out with any remaining questions before you finalize your booking. Your compliance with and commitment to the practices detailed in these Terms of Service will help ensure a safe, enjoyable, and transformative journey for everyone involved. Once again, welcome to D’Palawan Travel and Tours—where raw nature, cultural authenticity, and responsible tourism converge to provide an experience that transcends the ordinary. We look forward to embarking on this remarkable Palawan adventure with you.
